Burlesque baby!!

Dear followers!
I do hope you have been following in earnest the progress myself and Laura have been making with the wonderful Sarah and Mark Bell for our placement in Burlesque!
The weekend is drawing close now for our Halloween night, and Sarah has promised us many many jobs in the set-up and preparation!
Below is our meeting from the 20th of October, and some of the things we got up to!


We spoke about a good press release, what has to be in the information, as Laura and I had both given it a bash for the Christmas press release- as marketing and advertising for these events have to start now! There are certain things when doing a press release, or any type of information given for an event that needs to be included:

• You need to SELL and TELL about what the company/group do.
• When/ where/ how much/ what time ect ect
• If there is a website- include this!!
• Make it straight to the point, but still entertaining to read.

After this, we started on getting the Halloween tickets ready. This might seem like a very boring job, but I felt I was in my element!! (I like cutting things out, and sticking things- think of Blue Peter!!)

Here I am slicing! All of the tickets used are unique to the monthly event- so this month- Halloween, skeletons, ghouls and ghosties!

Here's Laura with her raffle tickets! There is always a raffle some time during the evening- what a good idea to attach the raffle tickets to the back of your ticket?!

There were 250 of these tickets to do, unfortunately we didn't do all of them. :(
