Life Drawing- 24th/25th September 09

Dear followers!
Here is just an up-date and some pics on some of the life modelling I did over the last weekend.

I was called in at the last minute to life model for an accredited class. This was not a private art class, which is normally what I model for, the artist's there are maybe established, or have their own gallery. Accredited classes are for those who want a qualification in an art form.

On the Friday night (24th), the class plan was slightly different then what I'm normally used to. The first half of the session were the pupils drawing me with my clothes on. This was so they could start to understand the stance of the human body. I also had my employer pointing out parts of the adult body to keep in mind when drawing people. Angles, balance, the plum line, toning, shading etc.

The other half of the session was done nude. Drawing, painting etc people in the nude is far easier than someone who is clothed, so really, the easier section was done right at the end!

The great thing about accredited classes is that you can have artists from all different backgrounds, ages and experiences, whereas some of the private classes, you would only find older, maybe more experienced artist's.

Below are some of the drawings I managed to photograph at these sessions.
